ANGELUS CHRONODATO Triple Date, 2 Tone Dial Chronograph Stainless Angelus, case No. 234321. Made in the 1940s. Fine, 18K stainless steel wristwatch with two button chronograph, register and triple date calendar. Dial, case and movement signed.
Case is a Three-body, 38 mm diameter, polished and brushed, snap-on case back all in mint condition.
Dial is 2 Tone faded gold tone in the center with a black outer date. The original Arabic lume has fallen off the numerals are burnt into the dial. White print for the outer 1/5 second outer track and for the 60 second and 45 minute counter. Subsidiary guilloché seconds and 45-minute register dials. Luminous hands. Phillips recently auctioned one very similar.
Movement is signed, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 38 mm.
